(All times local.) 6:45 p.m. Italy's civil aviation authority ENAC says it has asked Italian airlines to conduct their own extra security checks at Sharm el-Sheikh's airport in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula. The move came a day after Britain suspended all flights to and from Sharm el-Sheikh over suspicions that the Russian plane that crashed in Sinai over the weekend may have been brought down by a terrorist bomb.
